A seven segment display is a display broken down into seven segments each one able to be lit by various kinds of lights. An example of these lights that can be used in these segments are LEDS.
These displays are made with seven segments arranged into an 8 shape. With all these segments arranged into an 8 the segments can be used to make numbers that range from 0 to 9. If you have multiple displays you can make larger numbers.
