Atmospheric pressure is the pressure exerted by surrounding air
Materials: Water, Rubber band, Toothpicks, Scissors, Empty glass bottle, and Mesh produce bag
Procedure:
- Cut a small square section from the mesh bag
- Place the mesh on the mouth of the bottle and secure it with the rubber band
- Fill the bottle full of water
- Place your hand on the mouth and flip the bottle upside down
- Push a toothpick through the opening of the mesh
Kids will learn about atmospheric pressure
